Michael Quick was born on July 11, 1951, and played guard for the USF Dons from 1970 to 1973. During his three seasons, he scored a total of 1,019 points averaging 12.6 PPG and 2.3 RPG. As a senior, he was a member of the USF team that defeated number 3-ranked Long Beach State at the 1973 NCAA Tournament. 
 
Along with his entire lineup from the 1972-1973 season, Quick was drafted into the NBA. He was selected by the Kansas City-Omaha Kings in the Sixth Round (93rd pick overall) in April 1973. In August of that year he signed a contract but was placed on waivers in October of that year and became a free agent.
 
He then chose to play professional basketball in Belgium. After his professional career, he returned to USF as an Assistant Basketball Coach in 2007. Following that, he became a Rental Property Manager in San Francisco.
