Renee Demirdjian was born on November 21, 1975 in Carlsbad, CA and attended her local Carlsbad High School. At USF, she was the Women's Basketball team's most versatile player, doubling as the starting small forward and as backup point guard from 1993 to 1997.
Demirdjian was one of three Dons who made it to their fourth and final season at USF. As their best defender and athlete, Demirdjian had a free throw percentage of 78.4% and was sixth in assists (365) at the end of her USF career. Renee scored in the double digits over 23 times during her time as a Don. She was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 2012.Â
She earned a Master's in Marine Resource Management from the University of Oregon in 2004, a Master's in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix in 2008, while coaching Girls' Basketball and teaching at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, and a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Meridian University in 2022. She currently works as a multi-lingual counselor in Oakland, CA.Â
