Salvatore Michael Seeno was born on December 10, 1914 in Pittsburg, CA and attended his local Pittsburg High School. He was a member of shipbuilding family that helped establish the Bay Area fishing industry. He graduated from USF in 1938 as a Liberal Arts major. 

He played as a fullback for the Dons with fellow Hall of Famers Albert Braga, Dan Benedetti and Dante Benedetti. He also played basketball and ran track. He served as a Merchant Marine during World War II in both the Pacific and in the Atlantic. Afterwards he served as a Sergeant in the Pittsburg, CA Police Department. He was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 1982.
