At Grant Union High School, Terri Hunt was an All-League performer for three seasons and was an All-City selection twice. She was All-Northern California for her last two seasons and was the MVP in the Dorothy Speck Tournament. She was also selected for the All-Tournament of the San Joaquin Section playoffs.Â
In her first year of college basketball, Hunt was with the University of Wyoming and averaged nine points a game along with 4.5 rebounds. Terri had a career high against Utah State when she scored 20 points. Hunt averaged 31 minutes in 26 games, and totaled 235 points in her first season. After her freshman season, Hunt was an All-High County Athletic Conference selection.Â

Hunt transferred to USF following her freshman season into the class of 1987, and played as the Dons starting forward, but was sidelined for the season due to an ankle injury. Terri Hunt was a starting forward and tough rebounder for the University of San Francisco Women's Basketball team.Â
