Series Snippits
The Dons and the Hawks have never met in a regular season contest, and this will be the first countable game against the visitors from the East Bay.

Last Time Out
The Dons got a late-game scare in its season-opener at North Texas before hanging on for the 69-61 victory at The Super Pit.

USF's offense was propelled by the starting five, who accounted for all but three of the Dons' points in the game. Zhane Dikes led all scorers with 18 points, including a 9-of-11 outing from the line, and five steals. Taylor Proctor added 17 points and eight rebounds, going 7-for-12 from the floor. Rachel Howard contributed 13 points and five rebounds, while Anna Seilund added 11 points for the Dons. Texas native Claudia Price finished with seven points in her home state to help USF to the win.

Preseason Prognostications
For the second straight year, USF senior forward Taylor Proctor, was named to the Preseason All-WCC Team.During her junior year, Proctor became the 20th woman in program history to reach the 1,000 point plateau, and she also reached the 500-rebound milestone. She currently stands at 1,179 career points and needs 77 points to break into USF's top 10 scorers.

After a season which saw the San Francisco women's basketball team advance to the West Coast Conference championship game and earn a postseason berth for the first time since 2001-02, the league's coaches have voted the Dons to finish fifth in the preseason poll. The Cougars - whom USF faced in the 2014-15 WCC Championship game - were tapped to finish second, with four first-place votes and 76 total points. Only two points separated BYU and the preseason favorites, Gonzaga, who have won at least a share of the last 11 WCC regular season championships.
