Parking is available free of charge two hours prior to tip-off until one hour after the conclusion of the game in any campus lot, with the exception of designated green parking spots at the top of Hayes-Healy garage on Golden Gate Avenue adjacent to the gymnasium. Campus parking lots of choice include the lot at the Koret Center, located at the corner of Turk and Parker and the Hayes-Healy underground garage, located on Golden Gate Ave. just past the Sobrato Center. Due to expected large turnouts for both games, fans are encouraged to arrive early.Â

SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco men's basketball team will make its home WCC debut on Thursday when the Dons host BYU at 8:00 p.m. Both teams enter the Thursday night tilt with a 1-1 record in the WCC.

USF (9-6, 1-1 WCC) is coming off a convincing 84-61 road win over Portland on Dec. 30. The Dons recorded season-highs in several categories in the contest. Notably in points (84), points scored in a half (46), 3-point field goals made (15), rebounds (51), and assists (19).

In the win over the Pilots, freshman guard
Souley Boum scored a season-high 26 points. It is the fourth time this year he has eclipsed the 20-point plateau. Boum leads the team with 15.6 points per game which ranks 16
th most in the nation for a freshman. Senior
Chase Foster is the only other Don in double figures, he's averaging 12.2 points per game. Â Â

ABOUT THE DONS
- As a team, the Dons are averaging 69.6 points per game and shooting 40.0 percent from the field, their opponents are averaging 66.4 points per game and shooting 41.4 percent from the field.Â
- In conference play, USF is averaging 73.5 points per game and shooting 40.2 percent from the field.Â
- USF was all over the glass against the Pilots last Saturday. The Dons finished +28 in the rebound department, recording a season-high 51 rebounds. The last time the Dons grabbed at least 50 rebounds was in the overtime win over Santa Clara on Feb. 6, 2016. The last time USF recorded 50 or more rebounds in regulation came in the Dons win over Menlo College on Feb. 2, 2016 when USF grabbed 52 rebounds.Â
- The Dons' offense scored a season-high 46 points in the opening half of the win over Portland last Saturday. The most points scored by the Dons in any half during the season. The 84 points is also a season-high. USF improves to 6-0 on the year when scoring 73 or more points.
- The Dons have played in 15 contests this season, in those 15 contests the Dons have employed nine different starting rotations. Among Division I teams, the Dons are tied for sixth most with Pitt and UT Rio Grande Valley in starting lineup combinations. Florida Gulf Coast is tops in the country with 11 starting lineup combinations, four other schools are tied for second with 10.Â
- On Saturday, the Dons unveiled their newest lineup, Souley Boum, Frankie Ferrari, Taavi Jurkatamm, Matt McCarthy and Jordan Ratinho. Ratinho is the only Don to have played and started in all 15 contests this season.Â
- Against the Pilots, USF shot a season-high 42 3-point field goals, making 15 for a 35.7 3-point field goal percentage. The 42 attempts top the previous season-high of 40 taken in the loss at Arizona State on Dec. 2. The 15 made 3-pointers tops the 11 made against Central Arkansas on Dec. 4. The last time the Dons made 15 or more 3-point field goals came in the win over Utah on Dec. 22, 2016 when USF recorded 16. The 42 3-point field goals attempted is tied for 17th most by a team this season.

SERIES VERSUS THE COUGARS
The Dons and Cougars have met 23 times with BYU owning a 17-6 advantage in the series. The series dates back to Dec. 20, 1946 when the Dons fell to the Cougars 46-34 at the Nevada Invitational. Last year, USF went 0-2 against the Cougars with BYU taking the series finale 68-52 in San Francisco on Feb. 11, 2017. The Cougars are 12-1 against the Dons since joining the WCC in 2011. BYU has won nine-straight overall and six straight in San Francisco.

ABOUT BYU
BYU enters Thursday's contest with an overall record of 12-3. In the WCC they are 1-1 following an opening weekend split that saw the Cougars fall to Saint Mary's 74-64 in overtime after defeating Portland 69-45 in Provo. BYU has played some of its best basketball away from home this season as the Cougars are 5-1 in away and neutral games. BYU is 3-0 in true road games with wins over Princeton, Utah Valley and Utah State. As a team, they are averaging 75.7 points per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field, their opponents are averaging 66.5 points per game while shooting 44.1 percent. Three players are averaging better than 10 points per game and are led by Yoeli Childs who is averaging 18.1 points per game. He's also leading the Cougars with 8.9 rebounds per contest.
