Dons to Host Mackenzie Match Play at Pasatiempo Golf Club

SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco men's golf team will switch gears this week, when they travel to Santa Cruz to host the Mackenzie Match Play at the Pasatiempo Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Dons will host Marquette, Menlo College, Wyoming, Sacramento State, Cal Poly, and Cal State Monterey Bay for an eight-team match-play tournament which begins on Monday morning.
The Dons will trot out the fivesome of Tim Widing, Soren Lind, Toby Briggs, Alex Chin, and Jalen Griffin who returns to the lineup after sitting out the last two events. USF is two weeks removed from a seventh place finish at the Prestige hosted by Stanford. In that event, Chin recorded the first top-10 finish in his collegiate career. Overall, the Dons are led by Lind and Briggs who are averaging 72.4 and 72.6 per round this season.
