DONS AT A GLANCE:
- USF enters this week's action following a 4-1 loss at home to 13th ranked Pepperdine as the regular season comes to end this weekend.
- Freshman Marissa Vasquez has been a breakout star for the Dons this season as she leads the team with nine points and three goals in her first season on the Hilltop.
- On Saturday, the Dons' family will honor seniors Cassidy George, Kalena Teufel, Bethan Perry, Candace Hillegas and Molly Eby ahead of their final game at Negoesco. We can't thank these athletes enough for their hard work and brilliance on the pitch while navigating unprecedented challenges throughout their time in school.Â
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
- Gonzaga enters Wednesday's matchup after back-to-back 1-0 victories as their conference records sits just a game below .500 after a strong non-conference season.
- Maddie Kemp has been a force in the Bulldogs' offensive attack leading the team with 22 points and nine goals so far this season, as well as leading the conference in shots on goal.
- The Dons will also need to look out for Kelsey Oyler who is second in the WCC in assists as she's done a great job of setting up her teammates throughout the season.
SCOUTING THE TOREROS:
- USD will play Saint Mary's at home prior to traveling to San Francisco for Saturday night's match. The season has been a struggle for the Toreros as they enter the final week of the season with a 1-5-1 record.
- Leading USD's offense is Michaela Foster and Aryssa Mahrt who are both tied for the team lead with six points this season.
- San Diego uses multiple goalkeepers but Ellyn Casto has primarily played in goal as she has received 13 starts and is allowing an average of 2.07 goals per contest.
