Veteran Guard Keiryn McGuff Signs with Women's Basketball Program

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's basketball program and Head Coach Molly Goodenbour have announced the signing of veteran transfer guard Keiryn McGuff for the 2026-27 season.
"Keiryn is a competitor," Goodenbour said. "She is tough, hard-working, and loves a physical and aggressive style of play. Her experience and her ability to play multiple positions will be a huge asset. She's also a wonderful person who will undoubtedly be a great teammate."
McGuff comes to the Hilltop following a season at Akron, where she averaged 9.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while setting a career-high in three-point field goal percentage (.338), free throw percentage (.726), steals (25), and blocks (12).
During the 2025-26 season, McGuff, the Dublin, Ohio native, appeared and started in 27 games, averaging 29.6 minutes per game. She set multiple career-highs throughout the campaign, highlighted by a 22-point performance in a high-scoring 108-105 victory over Ohio on February 18. She also added bests in rebounds with 12 at Western Michigan on January 7 and in assists with four at Massachusetts on January 14.
Before her time at Akron, McGuff began her collegiate career and played two seasons at Bowling Green. While with the Falcons, McGuff averaged 2.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game in 38 games with 11 starts.
Before her collegiate career, McGuff attended and played basketball at Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin, Ohio. In her senior season with the Shamrocks, she averaged 12.0 points per game and helped guide the team to a 20-6 overall record and a 9-1 mark in the OCC Central Division. McGuff also spent time at The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tenn., and Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, Ohio.
