Fritz Named WCC Offensive Player of the Week

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Following a standout weekend at the USF Challenge, University of San Francisco volleyball standout Petra Fritz was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Fritz helped lead the Dons to a perfect 3-0 weekend with victories over Texas Southern, Northern Arizona and California Baptist, totaling 46 kills while hitting .430 across the three matches.
The junior opened the weekend with 18 kills on a .469 hitting percentage in San Francisco's four-set victory over Texas Southern. She also added four service aces and 10 digs in the win.Â
Fritz followed with another 18-kill performance against Northern Arizona, hitting .317 while adding two service aces and five digs as the Dons earned a straight-set victory.Â
She closed the USF Challenge with one of her most efficient performances of the season, recording 10 kills on just 13 attempts with one error for a .692 hitting percentage in San Francisco's sweep of California Baptist. Fritz also added two service aces and four digs in the win.Â
Across the tournament, Fritz finished with 46 kills, eight service aces, 19 digs and 55 total points, helping San Francisco improve to 8-5 overall.
