- In his first season at San Francisco in 2021-22, Coburn served as the director of baseball operations.
- Overall, Coburn was responsible for coordinating team travel, budget planning, on-campus recruiting and the day-to-day operations for the baseball program.
- In 2020-21, Coburn returned to his alma mater Huntington Beach High School as the assistant junior varsity coach.
- A Southern California native, Coburn attended Huntington Beach High School and was the starting second baseman for the Oilers 2015 CIF Championship team.
- Coburn graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Oregon in 2019 and earned his master's degree in sport management from San Francisco in December of 2022.
