Dons Drop Series Opener to Pilots

PORTLAND, Ore. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (18-17, 9-4) dropped the first game of a three-game set at Portland (21-14, 7-6), falling 5-3 Friday evening at Joe Etzel Field.

- San Francisco plated the game's opening run in the top of the first inning when Eddison Esquivel drove in TJ Rogers with an RBI double for a 1-0 lead.
- After Portland tied the game, the green and gold plated two runs in the fourth inning, regaining the lead at 3-1.
