Rally Falls Short, San Francisco Drops Series Finale at Saint Mary's

MORAGA, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (24-28, 15-12) dropped the final regular-season game of the 2026 season, falling 6-4 at Saint Mary's (30-24, 15-12) Saturday afternoon at Louis Guisto Field.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Trailing 6-0 in the sixth inning, Jackson Nystrom put San Francisco on the board with a long RBI single to left center field. Tyler Harries recorded a two-RBI double later in the frame to bring the Dons to within 6-3.
- At the top of the eighth inning, Nystrom scored on a Zack Ramppen double play to trim the deficit to 6-4.
- San Francisco failed to get any closer in the final frame as Saint Mary's secured the victory to avoid the sweep.
- Harries paced San Francisco offensively, going two-for-three with a double, two RBI, and a walk.
- Nystrom also totaled two base hits and led the Dons in runs scored with two.
- Gino Rossi and Jake Andreas combined for three scoreless innings, allowing two hits, two walks, and recording three strikeouts.
UP NEXT:
With the regular season wrapped up, San Francisco will travel to compete in the West Coast Conference Tournament on May 20-23, at Scottsdale Stadium.
