IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Wasting little time out of the gates, the Broncos got on the board first on a goal off of a header from Joshua Dabora in the 11th minute.
- As the match played on, the Dons would not tally their first shot on the evening until an attempted header from Shayan Charalaghi at the 35:00 mark. Aiming to widen the gap before the break, Santa Clara extended their lead to two on a goal from WCC-leader Oladayo Thomas in the 44th minute. At halftime, the Broncos remained on top, 2-0.
- Moving into the second half, Gabriel Bracken Serra launched a shot on goal at 57:24 to begin the offensive attack for the Dons, but Santa Clara responded once again with their third goal of the night at 59:12, this time from Tyrone Kirunda.
- Down the stretch, the match remained intense on both sides of the ball, including the Dons getting on the scoreboard at 89:48 off of a header goal from Nonso Adimabua Despite the late goal, the deficit would be too large for US to overcome in the final minutes as the Broncos hung on, 3-1, to secure their seventh win in their last nine matches.
- Putting together another All-Conference campaign, Adimabua tallied his team-leading fourth goal of the season on Saturday night. Notably, he is now tied for second in the WCC in goals while also placing fourth in shots, tied for fourth in total points (8) and tied for fifth in shots on goal (10).
- In the cage, Brandon Keniston made his second consecutive start against Santa Clara, grabbing four saves in 90 minutes of action.
- Notably, Karl Josefsson made his first start of the year in the match as he played 24 total minutes on the pitch.
Returning home for the first time since Aug. 26, USF will welcome Saint Mary's to Negoesco Stadium next Saturday, Oct. 9. Set to begin at 7:00 pm, live streaming and live statistics of the match will be available via the team's schedule page.
