**2020 (RS SOPHOMORE): Appeared in five games on the mound, including his first career start ... Had strikeouts in three of his appearances and didn't allow a run in two of them ... Longest outing of the year was his first career start on March 3 versus Mount St. Mary's, earning his first career victory by going three innings and striking out two while allowing two runs on three hits and a walk in USF's 8-2 win ... Finished the year with a 1-0 record, 11.57 ERA and four strikeouts in 4 2/3 total innings of work.
2019 (SOPHOMORE): Redshirt season.
2018 (FRESHMAN): Made seven appearances out of the bullpen in his rookie season, posting a 3.18 ERA in 5 2/3 innings pitched with four strikeouts and just one walk ... Made his collegiate career debut on March 8 versus Xavier, throwing two innings and striking two while allowing just one run ... Went five consecutive appearances without allowing a run from March 20 to April 28, which included four perfect appearances without a hit, walk or hit-by-pitch ... That stretch lowered his season ERA to 1.80 before he gave up a single run at No. 2 Stanford on May 1.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach John Burtzloff at Westlake High School … Earned first team all-Marmonte Conference and first team all-Ventura County in his junior year … Nominated Rawlings Perfect Game California All-American honorable mention in his junior and senior year … Hit .360 in conference … Boasted an era of .808 while going 6 for 6 in save opportunities in the Collegiate Summer Ball League.
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 18, 1999, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and was adopted when he was nine months old … Parents are Dan and Ellen Jelinek … Averaged a 3.5 GPA throughout high school … Earned the Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Award four straight years.
