Biography

2022 (GRADUATE STUDENT): Appeared in 50 games, starting in all 50…hit two home runs resulting in five RBIs in the series opener against St. Johns on 3/3/2022…logged his season high of four hits against LMU for six RBIs on 4/24/2022…ended the season with six home runs and 30 RBIs…recorded an overall fielding percentage of .992 with 125 putouts.

2021 (SENIOR): Played in all 53 USF games during the 2021 season including making 50 starts in primarily center field for the Dons...Matched his career high with four hits in USF's second to last game of the season on the road against Santa Clara on May 29 as Yovetich also hit two home runs and drove in five runs in that same game which ended as a 10-6 Dons victory.

**2020 (JUNIOR): Was the Dons' everyday right fielder, starting all 17 games there ... Was on a tear offensively before the season ended early, batting a career-high .319 and slugging a career-best .551 with a team-high three home runs to go with three doubles, two triples, 10 RBIs and two stolen bases ... Started the year on a five-game hitting streak and hit safely in seven of the first eight games, batting .424 with four multi-hit performances, two doubles, a triple, a home run, five RBIs and four runs scored during that stretch ... Tied a career best with four hits (4 for 5) and reached base five times with a double, an RBI and two runs scored at San Jose State (Feb. 25) ... Hit a go-ahead grand slam on the last day of the season, working the count full before launching a ball over the right-field netting at Benedetti Diamond to lead USF to a 12-4 win over Sacramento State (March 10). Also scored a career-high three runs and had a career-high four RBIs in that game.

2019 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 50 games with 29 starts (24 in right field, five in center) ... Was perfect defensively, posting a 1.000 fielding percentage in 87 outfield chances (one assist) ... Batted .240 during the season with five doubles, 14 RBIs, 15 runs scored and four stolen bases ... Had five multi-hit games, including a career-high four hits (4 for 6) with a double, two RBIs and a run scored during the Dons' 19-14 win at UC Davis (April 22) ... Went 3 for 4 on the second day of the season at San Diego State with a double, RBI and two runs scored (Feb. 16) ... Had four multi-RBI performances, with three in four games during a four-game hitting streak from April 20-26 ... Posted a season-long five-game hitting streak from Feb. 16-24, batting .471 with two multi-hit games, two doubles, two RBIs and six runs scored.

2018 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 44 games with 24 starts (22 in the outfield, two at designated hitter) during his first year of college baseball ... Splashed onto the college baseball scene in his first-ever game, entering in the bottom of the eighth as a defensive replacement, then homering on just the second pitch of his collegiate career, as the Dons won 11-2 at UTSA (Feb. 16) ... Also ended the year on a tear with three multi-hit games in his final four contests, batting .500 with two RBIs, two triples a home run and four runs scored ... Would bat .241 on the year with four doubles, three triples, two home runs, eight RBIs, 10 runs scored and five stolen bases in his first season ... Tallied five multi-hit games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years at Big Sky High School ... Earned all-conference and all-state honors in both his junior and senior year ... Hit .349 with 13 triples, five home runs and 44 RBIs in his junior year ... Hit .396 with 24 triples, six home runs and 51 RBIs in his senior year ... His 24 triples set a single-season school record ... MVP of the 2017 Montana State tournament ... Played American Legion for the Missoula Mavericks under Brent Hathaway and won the 2017 State Championships.

PERSONAL: Born on Aug. 31, 1998 ... Parents are John and Linda Yovetich ... Family is full of athletes - his grandfather (Phil) ran track at University of Montana, uncle Mark McQuirk played football at Carroll College, uncle Tom Bright played two years of football at Clemson University ... Cousin Rose Harrington played two years of softball at Seattle University, cousin Tim Bright played baseball at University of South Carolina and his cousin Steven Bright played football at Vanderbilt University ... Four year honor roll and was named to the all-academic team for basketball all four years.
