2016 (FRESHMAN): Made 25 appearances on the year, starting eight games... played first base primarily, but also made six appearances in right field and 10 appearances on the mound... hit .129 with four hits in 31 at-bats overall... registered two doubles and four RBI... tallied base hits in back-to-back games at UC Davis (Mar. 1) and at Cal Poly (Mar. 4)... made his first-career start playing first base at UC Davis (Mar. 1) where he came up with his first-career hit and RBI... on the mound, posted an 8.18 ERA... struck out six batters in 11.0 innings... made his first-career pitching appearance at No. 12 Cal (Feb. 23), throwing a season-best 2.1 scoreless innings in relief where he allowed one hit, walked three and struck out a season-high two... matched his season-best with 2.1 innings at LMU (Apr. 8) where he allowed one run on two hits with a strikeout... stranded a pair of runners in relief outings at LMU (Apr. 8) and at San Jose State (Mar. 15).   

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Leamington District Secondary School... named team MVP as a senior... named his school’s 2012-13 male athlete of the year... played club ball with the Great Lake Canadians for two seasons... played in Tournament 12 at the Rogers Centre and for the Arizona Diamondbacks scout team at the AZ Fall Classic... in 2015, hit .375 with 20 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs and 39 RBI.  

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 28, 1997 in Windsor, Ontario…. parents are Phil and Tammy Warkentin... majoring in business administration... would like to continue his baseball career as long as he can... named to his high school honor roll twice.
