2016 (SENIOR): Made four starts and had five appearances overall in goal... posted a 2-3-0 record with 24 saves and a 2.16 goals against average... registered a season-high eight saves in a loss at Loyola Marymount (Nov. 12)... picked up wins against Gonzaga (Oct. 16) and San Diego (Nov. 6).
2015 (JUNIOR): Started in all three appearances in goal in his first season on the Hilltop…made three saves overall…allowed seven goals…started the first two games of the year – a 1-0 loss at No. 23 Penn State (Aug. 28) and a 6-0 loss at West Virginia (Aug. 30)…also started in a 3-0 loss to No. 21 New Mexico (Sept. 30)…made a season-high two saves at New Mexico…played all 90 minutes vs. Penn State and New Mexico…logged 225 minutes in the net overall.
2014 (SOPHOMORE AT UMASS-AMHERST): Started in all 14 games played…logged 1228 minutes of play…made 61 saves, had a save percentage of .678, and had 4.36 saves per game...his 17 saves against Harvard were the most saves in a single game among Div. I goalkeepers that season and also set a school record.
2013 (FRESHMAN AT UMASS-AMHERST): Played in two games making a start against Hartford (9/11/13)...did not allow a goal in 32:08 of action, with one save on four shots faced ...made one save on three shots faced in 18 minutes against the Hawks...also played 14 minutes late against Dayton (11/8/13)...member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in Fall 2013.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Played for head coach Bill Propster at Westlake High School...was a first team All-Marmonte League selection and team captain as a senior...earned scholar athlete distinction all four years of high school...played club soccer with Oxnard PAL Blue.
PERSONAL: Born Aug. 11, 1995 in Chicago, Ill…parents are Mark and Ann Buckingham...majoring in finance...enjoys listening to music, hanging with friends, hiking and playing other sports...he trains privately with former L.A. Galaxy goalkeeper and Team USA National Team goalkeeping coach, Ian Feuer.
