Career Highlights: Two-time NCAA Champion (1976, 1980)

A prolific offensive weapon, Olavson helped USF to a pair of NCAA Championships (1978,1980) and finished his career first in points (128), second in goals (48) and first in assists (32). During his standout career in the Green and Gold, the Dons posted a remarkable 99-8-4 record for a .910 winning percentage. Olavson registered a career-high 17 goals as a sophomore. Prior to attending USF, Olavson played from 1975-1976 for the Valerenga IF in the Europoa League.

Why Olavson Chose USF: "I received a scholarship at a great university with a very good soccer team."

Favorite USF Memories: "Our team consisted of players from a lot of different countries. It was very interesting to hear about all the different cultures and to get to know everybody."

The USF Student-Athlete Experience: "To be able to study and at the same time do what I liked the best - play soccer."

Life After USF: Olavson moved back to Norway and started a business in personal protection equipment. His son, Mats, attended and played soccer at USF. Olavson is still involved with soccer working with his former club in Oslo.
