- For the third game in a row, Nevada took an early lead when Taylor Holder posted a three-run home run to give the Wolf Pack a 3-0 advantage in the top of the second inning.
- Kenny DeCelle's RBI sacrifice fly put a tally on the board in the following half frame, cutting the deficit to 2-1. With one out on the board, Tyler Harries ripped a double to left field, Zack Ramppen reached on a hit-by-pitch, and Myles Kallinger walked to load the bases. DeCelle followed with a four-pitch at-bat and skied a fly ball to center field, scoring Harries.
- Michael Ball supplied the Wolf Pack with two late insurance runs and a two-run home run at the top of the seventh inning for a 5-1 advantage.
- Failing to score in the final three frames, the Dons muscled up only one baserunner as the Wolf Pack solidified the victory with two strikeouts in the ninth inning.
- Four players recorded base hits throughout the contest, as DeCelle, Harries, Jordan Lewis, and Trevor Harmon posted one hit apiece.
- DeCelle collected the Dons' lone RBI with a sacrifice fly in the second inning.
- Austin Cupic and Wesley Harwell pitched two solid innings, only allowing a combined one walk.
