SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gauge Lockhart recorded his second straight quality start as the University of San Francisco baseball team (20-20, 11-6) evened the series with a 5-3 victory over Pacific (16-24, 8-9) Saturday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

San Francisco opened the scoring in the third inning when Jared Lewis lined an RBI single to left-center field, scoring Zack Ramppen, for a 1-0 advantage.
Tyler Harries drove in a pair of runs for the Dons in the following frame on a two-out, two-RBI double to push the lead to 3-0.
The green and gold's lead expanded to 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth with RBI base hits from Lewis and Jackson Nystrom.
Pacific rallied in the seventh and eighth innings, scoring three times to bring the game to within 5-3.
Nick Bacura closed the game in the top of the ninth, pitching around a two-out walk to solidify the victory.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

Lockhart posted an impressive outing on the mound for his second quality start of the season, pitching six frames, allowing one run on three hits, and striking out four batters.
Lewis and Nystrom recorded multi-hit games, with each player totaling two hits, while Lewis and Harries led the way in RBI, driving in two runs apiece.
Bacura pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one walk, for his team-leading eighth save of the season.
As a team, San Francisco went five-for-13 (.385) with runners in scoring position and limited Pacific to just one-for-7 (.143) with runners in scoring position.
