SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (20-21, 11-7) dropped an 8-2 decision to Pacific (17-24, 9-9) in the series finale Sunday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Trailing 8-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Eddison Esquivel put San Francisco on the board with a two-run home run. Jackson Nystrom scored on the play after earning a six-pitch walk earlier in the frame.
The green and gold loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning, with Myles Kallinger recording a base hit, and Jared Lewis and TJ Rogers working two-out walks, but failed to score as Pacific secured the win and the series victory.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

Lewis and Esquivel recorded multi-hit games, highlighted by Esquivel going two-for-three, with a home run, his first of the season, and two RBI. Lewis added two hits in four at-bats and recorded a walk.
Quentin Pohorski pitched 4.1 innings out of the bullpen, his longest outing of the season, and allowed three runs on three hits with a game-high five strikeouts.

San Francisco returns to action when it hosts San Jose State at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 28, at Benedetti Diamond.
