MALIBU, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (21-23, 12-8) dropped a narrow 4-0 West Coast Conference decision at Pepperdine (18-27, 12-8) Saturday afternoon at Eddy D. Field Stadium.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- San Francisco failed to create with runners on third base in the shutout, while going hitless with runners in scoring position. The Dons last got a runner on third in the second inning, when Jackson Nystrom moved 90 feet away following a double play.
- Following a one-for-four performance with a home run in the series opener, Nystrom totaled two doubles and went two-for-four at the plate to pace the Dons.
- Eddison Esquivel, Tyler Harries, and Jayden Garrison also recorded base hits for the green and gold throughout the contest.
- Alan Gonzalez pitched a scoreless 1.1 frames, allowing one hit and striking out one batter.

San Francisco returns for the rubber match when it takes on Pepperdine at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, at Eddy D. Field Stadium.
