2017 (RS SENIOR): Ranked second in the WCC with a .364 batting average… earned first team All-WCC honors… also ranked second in the conference with a .470 on base percentage, which ranked as the eighth-best in program history… his 39 walks were the second-most in the WCC and tied for seventh in USF history… second on the team with 39 RBIs… hit two home runs on the year and had 14 doubles… won the team’s Dante Benedetti MVP Award… finished his career with a .345 batting average, which ranks seventh in program history… led the team with 24 multi-hit games, registering four hits on four occasions… reached base in 16 straight games between Apr. 22 and May 19, the second-longest streak on the team… went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored at Gonzaga on Mar. 26… went 4-for-6 with a double and a home run while driving in a season-best four runs at Santa Clara on Apr. 23… registered multiple hits in six consecutive games from Apr. 28 to May 7… reached base in six of his seven plate appearances against Pepperdine on May 6, drawing four walks and going 2-for-3 with two runs scored… went 4-for-4 with a double and a run scored at Pacific on May 19... selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 40th round (1,189th overall) of the 2017 MLB Draft.         

2016 SUMMER: Earned a Cal Ripken League all-star nod with the Bethesda Big Train... helped lead the team to a league championship... hit .293 in 39 games... tallied 37 RBI with three home runs... was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts.  

2016 (RS JUNIOR): 2nd on the team with a .321 batting avg.... led the team with 14 doubles and 33 RBI... missed the first 12 games recovering from injury... went on to start in 42 of the 43 games he appeared in... played primarily third base, but also made appearances at second base and first base... his .434 on base pct. ranked 6th in the WCC... ranked 2nd in the WCC with 23 walks in 27 conference games... 4th on the team with a .287 batting avg. in WCC play... went 2-for-5 with a double and a team-high four RBI in a loss to BYU (May 13)... hit his lone home run of the season in a win at Portland (May 6)... went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in his USF debut at Cal Poly (Mar. 6)... tallied a season-best three hits on three other occasions: 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored at Sacramento State (Mar. 22); 3-for-4 with an RBI at LMU (Apr. 9); 3-for-4 vs. San Jose State (Apr. 19)... put together a season-best nine-game hitting streak between Mar. 19 - Apr. 2... drew a team-best four walks against Gonzaga (Apr. 17)... tied for the team lead with 14 multi-hit games... led the team with 10 multi-RBI games... went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI and 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the final two games of the year at Fresno State (May 20 & 21).   

2015 SUMMER: Played with the Humboldt Crabs of the Horizon Air Summer Series... named league MVP after hitting .447 in 190 at bats over 48 games... collected 85 hits with 27 doubles, a triple and two home runs... drove in 57 runs and stole 12 bases... drew 26 walks and scored 49 runs. 

2015 (JUNIOR): Redshirted. 

2014 (SOPHOMORE AT COLLEGE OF SAN MATEO): Played in 33 games... hit .313 with 14 RBI in 99 at bats… collected four doubles and two triples while scoring 17 runs... carried a .357 on-base percentage.

2013 (FRESHMAN AT COLLEGE OF SAN MATEO): Played in 16 games with 27 at bats... hit .222 with six hits, three RBI and two runs scored. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for David Jeans at De La Salle High School (Concord, Calif.)… hit .463 his senior season, besting his .412 average his junior campaign… was named to the East Bay Athletic League First Team, won North Coast Section championship in 2012 with a 20-8 record.
 
PERSONAL: Born on April 6, 1994 to Allen and Joanne Smoot…dad played baseball at USF from 1980 to 1982 and played in the San Francisco Giants… has a younger brother, Scott… is a history major.
