HIGH SCHOOL: Frakes comes to USF as a highly decorated player. He was named to the All-Mission League First Team twice, is a two-time Valley Invitation Baseball League All-Star, won best pitcher of the year twice, a Southern CIF All-Star, and won the Mission League Player of the Year award. He is fourth on Crespi High's all-time innings pitched list with 169.1 innings over three seasons. His career ERA was 1.94.
