HIGH SCHOOL: Gieseke has the most hits in the history of Las Lomas High School (Walnut Creek, Calif.). In his four seasons for the Knights, he hit .300, .330, .460 and .410 respectively and in his senior season had three home runs and 16 stolen bases to add ot his impressive resume. His best game came on Senior Day when he hit two home runs and two doubles against Miramonte. He was named all-league shortstop his junior and senior seasons and won the Diablo Foothill Athletic League Gold Glove his senior season. He was also an all-academic selection all four years.
PERSONAL: Donald is the son of Don and Dorothy Gieseke and has two older sisters, Sophie and Salina. He likes to play the guitar.
