Hall of Fame
Charles Francis Kremesec Kenney was born on April 1, 1918, and attended Commerce High School in San Francisco. He played guard for the Dons football team and rugby. He graduated in 1939 as a Liberal Arts major.
After USF, he played as an offensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers in 1947. He served in the United States Navy as a Captain, and then continued as a reservist for thirty years, and was the Commanding Officer of the Los Alamitos Naval Air Station in the 1970s.
After receiving a Doctorate in Education from Stanford University in 1963, he had a long career: first as a teacher, a principal, and then as the Superintendent of Schools of the Santa Ana Unified School District, and the Mount Eden School District. He also served as the Superintendent of the Antilles School District in Puerto Rico, a division of the Department of Defense.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1986.
