During his career at USF, Lee studied Biology, made the Dean's List on many occasions, and graduated with a Bachelor’s in 1980. He graduated from the University of California Dental School in Dentistry in 1983, and then in Orthodontics in 1985, and has a practice in San Francisco. He teaches as a Clinical Professor at UCSF.  He still plays tennis today.
